For online purchases, it seems the only info. you need to enter are: 1) The credit card number 2) The security code 3) The expiration date 4) Your name as it appears on the card
This doesn't sound too secure to me since all of these information can be obtained from the credit card itself. A sly person could photocopy your card without your knowing, or maybe they may have a spycamera, photographic memory.|||yup that's about it. usually sites like amazon or paypal will only require these four things. but one more information they would need is where you live, as in the billing address. so unless they know where you live and your card stuff too... then yeah your f***ed, that's if you lost your card or your info without knowing.|||Don't forget billing and shipping address. If someone steals your card they can easily purchase something but where do they ship it to? Their house? A smart criminal could figure out a way around that but the one thing they often overlook is IP addresses. The company can pinpoint the exact location of the computer they used to make the purchase online. Just a thought. It does seem easy, just not THAT easy.
